RJ45 Cables Colors Connections
RJ45 is a type of connector commonly used for Ethernet Networking. It has been standardised by the Electronic Systems Consortium, ETSI, in 2002. It has a standard 8-pin arrangement. Each pin has a number of contact points, and there are four different contact point patterns. The first pattern is the most common, and it is used for most devices. The second pattern is used for network devices that have a number of connections, such as a router or a switch. The third pattern is used for devices that need to make a lot of connections, such as a server or a wireless access point. The last pattern is used for power-line communication devices, such as a power distributor.
RJ45 has been used for many years, and it is still the most popular standard for network devices.
You can learn more about RJ45 in the ETSI specification. The specification is available for free in PDF form. You can download it from here.
